I’m a hacker who wants to have nice things and not have to trust large corporations with my information to get them. I accept that what volunteers put together in their spare time probably won’t be as polished as a produce that a company pouring millions of dollars into, and I’m okay with that. Besides, a lot of the “features” they work on are things like telemetry, user tracking, what they can offer to the people who buy user data from them. The beauty of open source is that I can just focus on the features which are important to me.
