It is supported. You only need to connect HestiaPi (OpenHAB that is) to your Google Home.

I haven’t tried that myself yet. If you get to have it running, the community would be grateful if you could start a simple guide in a separate post with the steps needed.
Aah right, so Hestiapi gets its connectivity via OpenHab, and not directly.

Thats correct. HestiaPi is the hardware and all the necessary configuration for OpenHAB to communicate with the sensors and the user. Keeping each role centralised makes life so much easier than reinventing the wheel every time
