HestiaPI Touch Thermostat with Infrared temperature sensor?

I came over this forum in my search for a thermostat to control electric underfloor heating. Most thermostats use a NTC thermistor for temperature sensing. I have no possibility to place a NTC sensor in the floor and must use an infrared temperature sensor. Can this somehowe be adapted to HestaPi Touch?

Absolutely. As long as you choose your desired sensor which works for you, simply edit this file to read temperature off it. The output of the script should still be in Celsius and in decimal format like 21.5 (one decimal point). Your sensor can be wired or wireless depending on wiring complexity and how comfortable you are to play with this.
Please keep in mind that reading the temperature is a very important function so make sure your code is tested thoroughly before going live.
