Which version is the correct one to run. GIT hub has 1.1 and there does not seem to be a git version for 1.2-dev.
By the way if you click on update on 1.2-dev it pulls the files for 1.1 and really makes a mess.
1.2-dev was an early released target mainly at developers but was proven to be very stable with major improvements so use that. This is the reason for the other issues you mention. We always welcome PRs
